A Fun and Busy Week - part one

The fourth week in July was a very busy one for us. We started out on Monday, July 21 and drove to my parents’ house near Fairview. Kent and Connie were on a house-hunting trip in Mesa so we had the house to ourselves for the night. On Tuesday morning Amanda and I left early and headed down into Utah County to do some shopping and get my hair done. Thanks for the haircut Polly! It was fun to spend some one-on-one time with Amanda. She behaves so much better when she’s not around her brothers! While I was gone Bill took the boys out for a four wheeler ride. Unfortunately he misjudged his fuel supply and ended up running out of gas about a quarter mile away from the house. But they still had a good time. The boys love riding on the four wheelers. Bill met me at Polly’s salon and we headed up to Cache Valley to go to my sister Marnie’s house. Marnie’s been needing a new deck built for a while so Bill decided to dust off his carpentry skills and get it done (or at least started). I always love going to Logan as that's where Bill and I spent the first two years of our marriage. It brings back so many memories! It was also great to spend some time with Marnie. She’s been having a lot of serious health challenges lately and I haven’t been able to visit her as much as I’d like. I'm always amazed at how she maintains such a good attitude and sense of humor in the face of her trials. She's a great example. Marnie was in chemotherapy all day Wednesday so I took the kids to Willow Park Zoo and met up with a couple of friends, Ann and Heidi, and their cute kids. It’s a fun little zoo and we had a nice time. My kids particularly liked the bobcat. Thanks for meeting up with us Ann and Heidi! It was great to see you.
