School Days!

Caleb started Kindergarten last Friday. School was supposed to start on Thursday, August 14th, but was delayed one day due to a funeral for one of the plane crash victims. Caleb was thrilled to start Kindergarten and every day seems really excited to go, but today he reported that, "Kindergarten is kind of boring." They're working on really simple concepts now, so hopefully they'll kick things up soon so he can have a challenge and not be too bored. I have to confess, I didn't feel the least bit emotional or teary when I took him to class on the first day. I guess I'm just not a very sentimental mom. Anyway, here's the little guy on his first day of school.

Amanda started at her new preschool on Monday. She's attending a preschool that's held at the elementary school. It's a really great preschool and is very hard to get into. I've had her name on the list for a couple of years, and she was lucky enough to get a spot. So far she's having a wonderful time! It's great because she goes at the same time and place as Caleb (just not every day) which makes drop-off and pick-up a little easier. And Joshua is enjoying having mom all to himself for six hours a week.

Your kids are so cute. I can't believe that you have a kid in Kindergarten. Time sure does fly.

Wow....a kindergartener (is that a word?) Hard to believe how fast time flies. That will be us next year and I can't believe it. Good luck with all the fun and new challenges a new school year is sure to bring.
