Caleb is our Pioneer Day baby. Sometimes I feel a little bad that he has to share his birthday with a holiday, especially a holiday that is celebrated so heavily in my family. On one hand, it’s great that he always gets to go to a parade and fireworks and see lots of extended family members on his birthday. But on the other hand, the fact that it’s his birthday can get a bit lost amidst the Pioneer Day craziness. This year he didn’t even get a real birthday cake. I was going to at least pick one up at the store, but since my mom had made a bunch of cupcakes I decided to just throw some on a plate, stick some candles in, and call it good. It wasn’t the world’s best birthday cake, but they tasted good and did the trick. Overall, I think Caleb enjoyed his birthday. He got some fun presents (his favorite is an MP3 player, he thinks he’s so cool rocking out with it), played with lots of fun cousins, and ate tons of treats. Best of all, he turned six (a fact he is constantly reminding us of)! I can’t believe how big he’s getting. As cliché as it sounds, it really does seem like just yesterday that he was a baby. We love you Caleb!

YOU HAVE A 6 YEAR OLD!! Crazy. Such cute kids though. I am glad that you found me, I love to see what you crazy kids are up to. We absolutely have to get together when you are in town. I don't frequent Blanding enough to see you in your 'hood.
Hey Meg....I am excited to be able to keep up with you and your family. You all look happy and well. And I can hardly believe Caleb is 6...I remember meeting him for the first time at the bagel shop, how fast times flies.
